I'm rather late on my latest issue, but I've realized that my journals/newsletters are set to the wrong month as Issue #11 should be November...not October...OOOPS! Well we're working out our kinks and still adjusting to this newfound land on the West Coast. I'm also finding all too quickly how shady people can be when you're doing them a favor, which is in regards to commissioned work for a certain band that I was not paid for and am now not being credited with. So when you buy that shirt from Hot Topic or that poster offline, just know that yours truly has given that to you for free. Though, I'm told that I should not feel bitter about favors...but I guess you don't realize it's a favor until it's too late. For all those out there protect your rights and your work to the full extent because when you get burned it certainly does hurt; and not only your pride but your artistic soul as well.

On the upside, I've had a promotion at work that will allow me more moolah to hire models for the new year, as out here not a single reliable soul works for free and I can respect that...So after pushing my work off month after month, I shall have some newer works by the end of January. Also, it's my sincere resolution to better my knowledge of photoshop in order to do more showy, artsy pieces that people seem to get paid so much for out here...At least I'm still painting, while the camera is getting a little dusty.

I'm still not sure if I really like it in California anymore, though my friend tells me with great assurance that I'm just going through the "I hate LA phase" and that it will certainly pass after the holidays. I guess the good parts are that I have met a few people that are decent where I work and that I'm doing well at my job. My goal for the new year is simply the following:

1. A sound mind
2. A quiet soul
3. A good glamour portfolio to shop to gentlemen's club owners/promoters
4. A couch and some snazzy pillows
5. Paid photography work
